Who these terms are between

These are the rules for using Flip Quizz at https://flipquizz.com. The service is operated by Amir Hasan(“we” or “us” below). By using the service you agree to these rules. If you don't, please don't use it.

Who can use Flip Quizz

You must be 13 or older to create an account. Signing up requires you to check a box confirming this, and the confirmation is permanently recorded with a timestamp.

The YouTube video-based mock exam feature additionally requires you to be 18 or older. This is because that specific feature uses Google's Gemini AI, whose terms of service restrict use where end users may be under 18. Before using that feature, you will be asked to check a separate box confirming you are 18+; each confirmation is permanently recorded. All other features remain available to users 13 and older.

If you are between 13 and 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is comfortable with you using the app.

Your account

• One account per person. Don't share your password or account.
• Tell us at support@flipquizz.com immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.
• You can close your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and all associated data.

What you can do

• Create flashcards, decks, quizzes, and study notes.
• Upload your own notes (PDFs and images) to generate practice material with AI.
• Chat with the AI tutor for help understanding your material.
• Study using our spaced-repetition system or a simpler cram-mode toggle for reference decks.
• Group decks into categories for organization.
• Share decks with friends via a link, or publish them in the public Discover catalog.
• Form or join study groups with a short join code, and see a friendly leaderboard of members' streaks.
• Use the built-in Pomodoro timer while you study.
• Track daily study streaks and set daily goals.
• Earn coins for studying and correct answers, and spend them on streak freezes and profile pictures. Earn diamonds from answer streaks; diamonds are never spent and are used only for leaderboard ranking.
• Save and retake quizzes (Premium).
• Print exams and quizzes with answer keys.

Premium subscription

Some features are available only to Premium subscribers, including the AI tutor, full mock exams, premium themes, step-by-step explanations, higher daily AI limits, custom spelling-quiz word counts, saving quizzes for retake, and the smarter AI model. Premium costs $6.99/month or $56/year and includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers — one free trial per account, so if you have subscribed before, billing begins immediately. You may cancel at any time from Billing → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; access to premium features continues until the end of your current paid period.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Refund requests may be made by emailing support@flipquizz.com — we will review requests on a case-by-case basis.

What you can't do

• Don't upload material you don't have the rights to— for example, scans of a textbook you don't own.
• Don't post hateful, harassing, threatening, illegal, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful content in any deck, note, chat message, or shared material.
• Don't try to break, abuse, or scrape the service— no automated attacks, no attempts to access other users' accounts, no spamming AI features.
• Don't use the service for anything illegal.
• Don't use the service to develop a competing product.

If you break these rules we may suspend or delete your account without notice, and we may retain a limited record of the violation for our own protection.

Your content

You keep ownership of the flashcards, notes, chat messages, and other content you create. By using the service you give us permission to store that content and display it back to you.

If you mark a deck “public,” you additionally give us permission to display it to any visitor (signed in or not) at its share link and in the Discover catalog, and you allow other signed-in users to copy it into their own accounts. You can flip any deck back to private at any time from the deck's settings.

Any material you upload for the mock-exam feature is discarded after processing; we do not retain the PDFs or images. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If we receive a credible copyright complaint about content you shared publicly, we may remove that content. Repeat offenders will lose their accounts.

AI content — important

Flip Quizz uses AI to generate flashcards, quiz questions, spelling words, mock exams, tutor replies, and step-by-step explanations. Video-based mock exams additionally use Google's Gemini AI to understand YouTube videos (audio and visual).

AI can be wrong, biased, or out of date.

• Always double-check important answers against your textbook, teacher, or another trusted source.
• AI replies are not professional advice. Don't rely on the tutor for medical, legal, financial, or mental-health decisions — consult a qualified professional for those.
• Every AI-generated explanation in the app carries a visible disclaimer reminding you of this.
• Content generated by AI is not, under current US legal guidance, independently copyrightable. Use AI-generated study material as a starting point, not as a source you can claim ownership of.

Video generation specifically

The YouTube video-based mock exam feature is powered by Google's Gemini API. By checking the “I confirm I am 18 or older” box:

• You confirm you are 18 or older (self-attestation).
• You understand the YouTube URL you submit will be sent to Google's servers, which fetch and analyze the video content on their side according to their own terms and privacy policy.
• You understand this feature is available to you only because you have made this confirmation, and that misrepresenting your age is a breach of these terms.

All other features do not require this confirmation.

The service is provided “as is”

We work hard to keep Flip Quizz reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we provide the service “as is” and without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, on the free tier, is zero.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will update the version identifier at the top and post an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its choice-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Durham County, North Carolina.
